Google works behind the scenes on a Belgian version of the Google Assistant. This appears from a message from a Belgian supermarket. This supermarket, called Colruyt, is currently testing with Google and customers can record shopping lists.
Belgian version of Google Assistant
As it looks now, Google is working on a Belgian version of the Google Assistant . This news comes not from Google, but from the Belgian supermarket chain Colruyt . The company wants to test the recording of shopping lists together with customers. On the website of the chain you can read the following:
The shopping lists are recorded via Google Assistant, the speech software that can ask questions and give voice commands. Google is currently working on the Belgian version of Assistant. In the meantime, the test will run with the version that is now available in the Netherlands and France.
At the moment, the people in Belgium use the Dutch or French version of the Assistant. A version that is made especially for Flanders or Wallonia is more than welcome, but it is unclear when it is made available. If the voice assistant will also be officially made available in Belgium, the Google Home-speaker will also soon be available for purchase.
